In celebration of October, my best friend and I went out to taste test Oktoberfest beers at local bars. Instead of drinking crappy beer to get drunk, we drank high quality beer to enjoy the taste and savor the seasonal differences. Meanwhile, we were also able to spend quality time with each other and watch the seasons change from the cozy comfort of a bar window. There was an Oktoberfest Festival going on down the street, so we watched people come and go, and I was even able to observe a Dachshund Dash (wiener dog race) in the afternoon. I had no idea there were so many dachshunds in our small town! They aren't at the dog park very often, so I never see them, but I think they are adorable! In addition to celebrating Oktoberfest, I also watched a movie with friends and learned how to make some fun crafts using old magazines! Overall, I had a great weekend with friends.

These past seven days have been filled mostly with seeking employment, eating and sleeping. Trying to communicate with prospective employers, as well as trying to keep good relations with other people in my life - my family and my girlfriend for example. However, I've been strapped on cash severely as of late, and I'm trying to get the bills in order - another activity this week - and it's not so easy. It can be difficult to keep good relations with people while under such stress and duress, but I try my best. Hopefully, next week will be better. Perhaps.

Some people don't know when to leave well enough alone, or to keep their mouth shut, to use the more common soubriquet. If only a person could change that about today's people, about today's world - there'd be much less fighting, much less division - because people would just be minding their own business. It would be grand, a world where if you weren't hurting anyone, you could do essentially what you want - I'm not suggesting laws, I'm suggesting that people do better things with their time than come up with meaningless laws and other petty ways of being busybodies. Nobody likes them, these people I'm talking about (and you know who I'm talking about, it just may be you if you're asking that question), and nobody mourns them when they're gone.
